Interlock Metal Siding Offers Class A Fire Rating and Freeze-Thaw Resistance for High-Risk Climates

DELTA, British Columbia - July 7, 2026 - Interlock Roofing Ltd. has expanded its product offerings to include Metal Siding and wall cladding panels, bringing the same heavy-gauge aluminum material system used in its lifetime roofing line to the exterior walls of residential and commercial buildings. The new panels share the same Alunar Coating System, profiles, colors, and trims as Interlock's roofing products, enabling a unified, color-matched aluminum finish across a building's roof and walls.
The company has long been associated with aluminum roofing systems designed to last the life of a structure. Extending that same material composition to exterior walls means that a home's roof, chimneys, dormers, gables, and walls can now be covered under one consistent aluminum system. This approach removes compatibility concerns that can arise when roofing and wall products originate from separate manufacturers, and it streamlines both installation and warranty coverage across all exposed surfaces.
"Homeowners already trust our aluminum roofing to protect their home for a lifetime," said Scott Plumptree, Director of Marketing, Interlock Roofing Ltd. "Extending that same panel, coating, and color system to siding means the entire exterior performs to one standard and reads as one intentional design."
The Aluminum Wall Cladding system is available in four architectural profiles - Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, and Standing Seam - which can be combined within a single color family. Panels are finished with the Alunar Coating System, a multi-layer architectural coating that incorporates Cool Roof infrared-reflective pigments to reduce solar heat gain on walls. The non-combustible aluminum construction carries a Class A fire rating (available), a practical consideration for properties located in wildfire and ember-zone regions.
Because aluminum does not absorb moisture, the panels resist rot, warping, and cracking through repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The factory-baked finish is formulated to resist chalking and fading, eliminating the need for repainting over the product's service life. The system also holds up against insects and coastal salt-air corrosion. Four-way interlocking panels are installed over most existing wall substrates by certified installers and require no painting, sealing, or staining throughout their lifespan. The aluminum used in production is largely recycled in content and is approximately 95 percent recyclable at end of life.
Metal Siding and aluminum wall cladding from Interlock are available across the United States and Canada through certified local installers, for both new construction and re-cladding projects. Recent installations include custom homes in Whistler, British Columbia.
